Responsibilities at Home

We've been talking a lot about our various responsibilities that we have at school and at home and why they are so important. Last week we created some responsibility themed artwork. Pigeon is one of our favourite silly story characters, but he's not always responsible. The students had some reminders for him:

We'd love to show you the rest!

Classroom Update

In honour of Remembrance Day we created some beautiful watercolour and pastel poppy art, as well as some incredible poems about peace. Please take a look at our hard work on the display board by the coat room. The iPad photos just didn't do them justice!

Our Sharing theme for next week is healthy choices. The students may orally share with the class one or more of the healthy choices they make on a regular basis (a sport they play, snacks they eat, a strategy to help them relax if they are feeling worried or upset, etc.). They may also bring in a visual if they like (a small piece of equipment for a favourite sport, a picture or drawing of favourite healthy foods, etc). The students who would normally share on Monday will share on the following Monday.

We've started exploring Matter in Science, so please engage your children in conversations about what type of matter (solid, liquid, gas) they think various things are made of, and why.

Here are some photos of our recent matter inquiry:

Enjoy the long weekend!
