Gingerbread Houses
This is just a reminder that tomorrow we will spend the afternoon making our gingerbread houses. Please send your child to school with:
- a small milk carton for the frame of the house
- a paper plate or recycled lid for the base
- candy decorations (no peanut products, please)
- icing (either homemade or store bought)
I will be providing the graham crackers. Thank you to those who have volunteered to help out! We will begin around 1pm.

Jingle Walk
Tomorrow, from approximately 11am to 11:45am, we will be doing our Jingle Walk through the neighbourhood, depositing flyers asking for non-perishable food donations. The forecast is calling for rain, so please make sure your child is dressed appropriately. Thank you to Nadia's mom, Peggy, who will be accompanying us.
On Monday, from approximately 1pm to 1:45pm, we will be revisiting our route to pick up our donations. Thank you to Mathew's mom, Dione, who will be accompanying us with her vehicle to help collect the donations.
If your children have small bells to wear and jingle on these days, please ask them to bring them along.
Thank you for your support!

6.) Themed Sharing for this week has been Our Families and our Special Traditions/Celebrations. We have been discussing and learning about how families celebrate during this season, and particular traditions they may have. You can check the schedule (search the September posts) if you are unsure whether your child is sharing tomorrow or Friday. Your child may bring in a photo or drawing of their family and introduce their family members to the class. They may also bring one object that represents a special tradition/celebration. Some possible ideas might be: a favourite food, story, game, or craft. Others may wish to bring in a photo and talk about a place they like to visit each year with their family. If your child forgets to bring in their Sharing this week, we are making next week a Sharing Catch-up week.
I really appreciate your support and help!!!
